Aujourd'hui, je sculpte, et c'est tout. Des pièces uniques, façonnées à la main et cuites au grès. Je ne travaille pas sur commande.

Sculpture and Norse & Celtic myths

Depuis mon installation en Bretagne, je me consacre à la sculpture : des dragons surtout, mais aussi des animaux et des figures venues des mythes nordiques et celtiques.

The journey

My roots as a potter, in Normandy

Before sculpture, more than thirty-five years of pottery in the Cotentin. Here are the pieces that marked this journey.

The "Pots Cochons" (cider jugs)

The traditional Norman jug for serving cider. The founding piece of the journey, deeply rooted in the heritage of the Cotentin.

Glazed stoneware roof finials lined up along a stone wall

Architecture · 1990

The roof finials

Ornaments that crown the roofs of Norman houses. Each finial is thrown and assembled by hand, in high-fired stoneware.

Four Goubelins, big-eared stoneware figurines

Cotentin folklore · 2002

The Goubelins

Mischievous imps from the popular traditions of the Cotentin. A series of figurines that marked a stage of the journey.
